Farm Spot Friday!

Hey guys and gals, welcome to the second edition of Farm Spot Friday! Today I’m going to give you lovely readers’ one spot that I consider a pretty decent area to farm but also an area that will give you some reputation with the Valsekyr Hunt Faction. I know a lot of you are likely still levelling up your factions and of course if you didn’t know, the Valsekyr Hunt are the one faction you can grind reputation by simply farming mobs in the respective area of Val Kaeli. I’m going to mark my favourite spot to farm here which is quite a quiet spot where there will be little annoyances and the mobs are easy to kill which are based in the area of Argonea within Val Kaeli.

You can find these mobs (Kaldashi Charger) are just up the big hill south of the Agnurok Engine which I will mark on the map below.

These mobs are pretty low in health and I’ve found them pretty easy to kill. The gold and loot dropped by these guys is pretty great and you can also gain 25 reputation from each kill you get as well as 1 Valsekyr Hunt Credit which really piles up after a while. I would say you could farm these for a day or two and easily max out the reputation with the Valsekyr Hunt Faction meaning you can buy all those awesome accessory crystals, accessories and other items which will lead to being able to get vanity items like the hats and eventually the awesome Panther mount.

Good luck farming and see you guys next week for more posts on how to make gold in Tera Online!

Next week Europe finally gets a large bundle of patches as well and hopefully some more cool ways to earn gold in-game woohoo!

Making Money With Alchemy

Short post today guys but still useful nonetheless!

The first and foremost thing I’ve found on how to make some easy gold with crafting is through Alchemy. The most simple method has been by getting your Alchemy to 300 and by simply creating some of the higher level scrolls. The materials are fairly cheap and all you actually need are Xersteel Bars along with some items that are readily available from the merchants where you can craft. Crafting either ‘Scroll of Savergery V’ or ‘Scroll of Carving V’ in fairly large quantaties has generated quite a hefty profit for me without trying at present if you extract a lot of metal from gear.

You can sell these items in quite decent sized bundles. My personal preference would be in either stacks of 50 or 100 at present and from my server values have ranged from around 75g to 125g for a stack of 50. These are perfect to sell because everyone needs these. Especially in Heroic Modes of the dungeons that are available. (Unfortunately only Fane of Kaprima and Balder’s Temple at present for EU. Thanks Frogster). Nonetheless these are pretty much a staple for anyone running dungeons and instant profit as long as your market isn’t too flooded.

Just to add, the main thing I've started to notice VERY recently is the price of Xersteel rising making it not too worth selling however if you have extracted many bars from armor and weapons I recommend selling as scrolls for fast sales. However with the increase of bar prices it may actually be worth just selling the bars instead ^-^'

More tips soon guys. Stay safe and catch you all soon.

Sell That Armour!

So from playing Tera for nearly two months now on the European servers I’ve started to notice that there aren’t too many ways to make money in the Brokerage. Unfortunately due to the removal of crafting quest givers being removed in the US and EU versions of the game it has made Crafting very awkward, especially after getting to 300 points in each profession.

So due to that, crafting is not really the best way to rack up money at 60 if selling the higher level materials at present. Today I will not be talking about making money via the crafting market today though. I will be talking about something that you have most likely noticed makes a lot of money, but for those that haven’t seen this. This is your chance to make the most out of it! And that is by selling all the armour or weapons that you slowly pick up while farming… or in dungeons or other places.

Enchanting is currently the easiest and by the looks of it the most preferred way to make money in-game. I’ve quite easily made a fair amount of gold just by selling armour or weapons for others to use in enchanting. Some of the lower level stuff is actually not worth selling on the Brokerage. Mainly because as I’ve said before, the vendor value is much greater. I still see people undercutting and then making their sales lower than vendor value which is ridiculous. Slowly but surely I have been compiling a price list of all the Tier 11 and 12 armour, weapons and accessories along with some other higher level items so you can find the cheaper things on the Brokerage and simply vendor them. Or even extract if a profit is to be made. However more on that in the future and back on to selling items for enchanting.

So, selling more specifically Tier 12 armour or weapons can easily rake in a few thousand gold a day if you are farming. You can also put your Broker skills to work and buy some gear low and sell it offer a little higher for more profit if you choose to do so. It’s a pretty simple format and I’m sure most of you readers have been previous MMO players so understand some of the ideas I am putting forward.  So sell all your Gold and Blue items via auction house as there is always someone who will likely buy it out because everyone needs to enchant their gear in this game. Currently I consider this the quickest way to make a large amount of gold each time round and hopefully you will also notice the profits of doing this.
That’s all for today guys, keep following me and fingers crossed I’ll have another article out very soon before the next Farm Spot Friday!

Farm Spot Friday!

Welcome to the first Farm Spot Friday! Many apologies for not being active over the past week, I have been incredibly busy with work and life however I will get writing plenty more articles now I am not working so late after this week.

So just to introduce this new section which will be released every Friday, aptly names Farm Spot Friday. To put it simply I will be sharing some of my favourite and certain spots in the world of Tera I have found to be very beneficial for farming gold and items to make more money via the Brokerage. Every Friday I will be giving you readers a spot where you can start farming to make that little bit more gold so you can all become Tera millionaires. This week I will be giving you two spots! Yes that’s just to make up for the fact I’ve just been a little inactive. So without further ado I shall let you know these 2 awesome spots that have been recommended to me and they are two spots I believe are awesome for farming.

The Argon Wreckage in Val Tirkai

Between the Argon Wreckage and Scout Camp are some lovely Bears you can farm while at level 60. I’ve found that most players can quite easily take on 6 at a time without any problems and from killing these mobs you generally get 1-2.5g a kill. Not only do they drop a nice amount of gold they also drop quite a lot of Tier 11 or Tier 12 normal gear up to superior gear as well which can fetch a nice profit in the Brokerage. It doesn’t drop any rebirth gear but all that gear is perfect for selling or evening enchanting your own gear if need be at a high level. These bears also drop nearly every other high level item under the rainbow which is perfect if you need some runes, Arunic Panaceas or well… anything! They are a great general mob to grind on to earn gold and don’t hit too hard either making them one of my current favourite spots to farm.
Now for my second favourite spot which is just round the corner from Pathfinder Post in the Three Towers.

The Three Towers Raga Transmission Room

Now right in the middle of the map on the 2nd level (the middle level) of the Three Towers is the Raga Transmission Room. Here you can find a constant supply of mobs without having to move at all most of the time. The mobs respawn incredibly fast allowing you to kill them without moving much. These mobs do hit harder than the bears in the farm spot above however I do think that you can earn more gold here just because there are more mobs spawning and you don’t need to gather a large amount so quickly thanks to the spawn rate. I think this farm spot does work better for the melee DPS class however that is up to you guys to test it out. The drops are similar to the bears along with the gold drops just to add.

So there are your first 2 spots for Farm Spot Friday. I hope you find them incredibly enjoyable while you scour the world of Tera for riches by farming.

Keep watching this site for more articles on how to earn more gold in Tera and make sure to check back again next Friday for the next Farm Spot Friday!

Buy Low... Sell High? No. Buy Low... Sell to Vendor!

First off, welcome to this new blog about making some gold on the brokerage. Here I’ll be giving multiple tips and guides on how to make money on the Brokerage within Tera Online. In all honesty, when I first started working on the Brokerage I noticed that making money on this will be far harder than most of the simple World of Warcraft Auction House tactics. Mainly because since Tera’s release the actual market has not settled properly yet. A large amount are still levelling or have been getting to 60 over the past few weeks so there has been a lot… and I mean A LOT of fluctuation in the market which I’m sure some of you avid Brokerage users have noticed. Prices of crafting materials are incredibly low at the moment… especially endgame crafting materials as everyone has them but hardly anyone is at a high enough crafting level thanks to some runes in the game being so rare to get lots of.

So as of now, the market is still settling and fluctuating… what is money-hungry Castanic like me to do? Well here is one of the most well known and simple ways of making a few extra gold. I can go through all the ways you can make gold through farming and such which I will talk about in the near future but first I am going to explain one basic principle of making money in any MMO which has some kind of Auction House.

Due to early fluctuation in Tera I’ve noticed the easiest way to make money is by simply buying things cheap off the Brokerage and simply selling to a Vendor. The sheer amount of stuff on there that is cheaper than Vendor price is quite insane at the moment, especially without any addons telling you what the vendor price of an item is unless you go to a Vendor. So what I suggest is that when you have some items, mainly any kind of equipment… y’know weapons and armour. Check out its Vendor price then check that exact item on the Brokerage too. If the sale price of the item is cheaper on the Brokerage than the Vendor price. BUY IT! Now you’ve automatically just made profit. It may only be 1 silver or maybe even a few gold but it’s profit!

Now this is pretty basic and I would say this is more beneficial for lower level players who might want to sink their low income at the beginning into higher level items just so they can get a little more cash but this is still a totally untapped market which in other games has been tapped mainly due to addons making it far easier to use things like the Auction House in Warcraft as an example. Unfortunately we won’t be receiving addons in Tera from what I know but if you are willing to do a tiny bit of work I would say you can easily earn an extra couple hundred gold a day just by checking the Brokerage for cheap items which you can just Vendor off. You could even use these items and extract crafting materials from them. Although in the future I do think will crafting materials will go up a bit more in price. And in that case you could possible extract the items and make a bigger profit that way. However that is only speculation for now…

So, buy low from the Brokerage and sell back to the Vendor for PROFIT! Be sure to check the Vendor prices before buying and Vendoring though!

I hope you enjoyed my first post and will keep your eyes on The Tera Broker and my simple methods on making gold in the beautiful world of Tera. Expect more posts in the very near future which will be discussing multiple methods of making money in Tera. To all readers, I wish you the best of luck!
